Chester County in partnership with the Chester Development Foundation and the sponsors who made it all possible are proud to introduce Gigs at the Gateway. Gigs at the Gateway are Chester County's first performing arts series and will be held at the Gateway Conference Center.

LOWVELO will launch the inaugural bike fundraiser for MUSC Hollings Cancer Center with a kickoff celebration, Friday, Nov. 1, at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The festivities will feature long-time Americana darlings, Blue Dogs. Comedian and cancer survivor David Lee Nelson will emcee the celebration, which also will include a traditional Lowcountry feast, along with beer and wine.
Rider packets can be picked up at this time as well, beginning at 3 p.m. Food will be available from 5 p.m. Music will begin just before 6 p.m.
Tickets are $40 for the general public and free for registered riders (excluding virtual) and kids ages 12 and under.
This year the Blue Dogs are headlining and closing the show which features great bands and friends Dangermuffin, Atlas Road Crew, Prettier Than Matt, and the Abnormals. The cap-off of the summer on the south Strand, and proceeds go to Hobcaw Barony for coastal ecology research. Tickets on sale now! Event from 1-9pm; Dogs take the stage from 7:40pm-9pm.
Join Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg and Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie for an uplifting musical celebration in support of the Homeless to Hope Fund.
Entertainment lineup features iconic Charleston musicians, including the recent Lowcountry Music Hall of Fame inductee Blue Dogs, soulful vocalist Zandrina Dunning and BlackNoyze, percussive Americana Rock band Rene Russell and the Bottom End and singers from the College of Charleston Choir, Charleston Symphony Chorus and Taylor Festival Choir under the direction of Dr. Rob Taylor. Special musical appearances by both Mayor Tecklenburg and Mayor Haynie.
2019 Homeless to Hope Award will be presented to Tracy Doran of Humanities Foundation. All proceeds support the Homeless to Hope Fund created by The Palmetto Project and the Mayors’ Commission on Homelessness and Affordable Housing to provide financial support such as rent security deposits and utility deposits or other barriers to help people to obtain housing and create a path for self-sufficiency through a network of service providers.

The Blue Dogs are headed to Atlanta to open for Freddy Jones Band, one of America’s premiere roots rock acts. Freddy Jones Band is fronted by the founding member, guitarist, Marty Lloyd, and joined by an all-star lineup of well known veteran musicians, bassist - Rich Ross, guitarist - Stu Miller and drummer -Goose LaPoint.
The band is best known for its number-one hits "In A Daydream" and "Take The Time."
Enjoy Rockers brews and tunes from legendary Carolina band, Blue Dogs, on Friday June 14th! Bill Crews and Friends kick off at 5pm and the Blue Dogs take the stage at 7PM.
The Blue Dogs (bluedogs.com) are Alt-country' with a whiz-bang melding of roots-rock rumble, bluegrass chicanary, and honky-tonk reverence.
