Tonight is the night the Blue Dogs pair up with Occasional Milkshake (Hank's side project with Mark Bryan from Hootie and the Blowfish) to shake things up in Columbia, SC.
The guys are very excited to return to The Vista and play at the NEW Music Farm. When the band first took off, the Music Farm on East Bay St. in Charleston was considered one of their stomping grounds. They are excited to continue the legacy of the Farm in the capitol city.
Today The State paper contained an article about the concert (taking place tonight at 8pm), in which the band shared memories of playing Columbia going back to the early 90's. You can follow the link below to read the article and to actually see their history revealed make sure to check out our ARCHIVES TAB!
After a postponed show in early September, the Music Farm opened in later September to positive reviews and a bunch of great shows, so without any further ado, the DOGS are ready for our night at the Farm North...in the Capital City, this Friday, November 7! We will have our full band, complete with drums and percussion, for a SIX piece experience. We are also joined by special guests The Occasional Milkshake, Hank's "side project" with Mark Bryan and Gary Greene. So we are pumped for a big Friday night in Columbia. Advance tickets are still available, so grab yours HERE! Doors 7pm, Milkshake 9-10:15pm, Dogs 10:30-12, jam set after midnight!
Thanks to our fans who either showed up, inquired, or made an effort to show for the Pecan Festival in Florence SC this Saturday. As most of you know, a crazy cold front and rain/wind storm came through Friday and Saturday and pretty much canceled the entire festival. No bands ended up performing at all due to the weather. We are always very disappointed when a show doesn't work out. BUT the good news is...for Florence area folks....the Blue Dogs will be playing a show on Thanksgiving eve, but at the new, happening T'giving eve location of downtown Flotown, just outside of Victor's Bistro, on an outdoor stage at the corner of Dargan and Evans streets! More details will be posted on our tour dates page, but the show is scheduled to start at 6pm, with the Dogs playing one set from 8-10pm!
After a fun night of tricks and treats come out tomorrow for fine wine and dine at the Pecan Festival in Florence, SC tomorrow. It is fun for all ages and the Blue Dogs will be appearing on stage at 3:30PM! Follow this LINK for more information and we hope to see you there!
