New Dogs Recording of "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth" Available at 12bands.org

The Blue Dogs recorded a Christmas classic, the well-known "Little Drummer Boy" but a not-so-well-known version that appeared on the 1977 Bing Crosby special that included David Bowie singing a countermelody called "Peace on Earth." The song was recorded this Fall with our friends Doug Derryberry (in Brooklyn) and Buddy Strong (in Campobello SC) and it was given to our friends at 12bands.org to be a part of their "INSTANT CHRISTMAS CLASSICS VOL. 1" on sale for only $5.00. In addition to the new Blue Dogs recording, featuring Bobby and Hank with Doug, Parker Dewitt, and James Bernabe, the compilation includes songs by Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Patrick Davis, and Emily Hearn, among others. Click HERE to purchase the CD today, and give them as stocking stuffers...for a great cause, the fight to end pediatric cancer. Happy Holidays!

James Bernabe, Mando Man!

Our very own mandolin player James Bernabe was feature in the Winston-Salem Journal yesterday for his accomplishments as a “luthier,” a self-taught builder of mandolins. Read the article HERE !

OUR ONLINE MERCHANDISE STORE IS BACK!!

The Kennel “Merch Central" is once again open for business, and with the holiday season upon us, it is a great time
to place an order online for CD’s, DVD’s, T-shirts, and Tervis Tumblers! In particular, we have all sizes in a classic style/100% cotton/with pockets, of TWO of our most popular t-shirts: the “MUSIC FOR DOG PEOPLE” SHIRT that dates back to 1991, and the 25th ANNIVERSARY SHIRT from last years show at the Charleston Music Hall !

*For those interested in purchasing music, please note that our Discography page lists each album in detail, with tracks and other information. Also, all of our CD’s are available digitally through iTunes and Amazon (links provided on the Discography page).

Happy Shopping!

All American Block Party

Buckwalter Place, Bluffton, SC

Dogs perform at 3pm! Join us for an old fashioned, All-American Block Party on September 10th from noon to 5 p.m. at Buckwalter Place, near the intersection of Buckwalter Parkway and Bluffton Parkway in Bluffton, SC.  The Bluffton Block Party has a simple mission - for all of us to celebrate American pride and spirit and to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9-11.  The whole neighborhood is invited to thank our military men and women as well as police, firefighters, EMS and others who protect our liberty and to celebrate the freedom and privileges their sacrifices guarantee.

This event will benefit Operation R&R, a program which brings military families to the Hilton Head/ Bluffton area for a virtually free vacation to help them “reconnect” with their spouse and kids after long periods away due to multiple deployments.

$5.00, Kids under 5 yrs are free Also, Military & Dependents Free.
