We are still buzzing from our shows on 12/28-29....first at the Music Farm with the Killer Whales, Travis Allison Band, and Don Merkle & the Blacksmiths....then of course on the 29th for the "big show" (SOLD OUT!) at the Charleston Music Hall featuring The Connells, The Killer Whales, Peyton Tochterman, Leisure McCorkle, Holland Teed, Micah Nichols and the Blue Dogs Big Band (with James Bernabe, Dan Hood, Jamie Harper, Charlie Thompson, Greg Walker, Parker Dewitt, and of course Hank Futch and Bobby Houck). We already knew we had a dollar-for-dollar match with our foundation partner, the PRESS ON FUND....but then we were happily surprised to find that SHAWN JENKINS (who named the now-under-construction new MUSC Children's Hospital) was in attendance and who also pledged to match ALL funds raised.....meaning our take would be TRIPLED!! Thanks to $30k+ in sponsor money, and roughly $30k in net proceeds from ticket sales...we have raised a grand total this year of $180,000!!! (Starting in 2014, we raised roughly $5000, in 2015 $50,000, in 2016 $130,000, and in 2017 $180,000...bringing our grand total as an event over $370,000!!!
