- This awesome intimate venue has been the backdrop of some great shows for the Dogs over the past couple of years. Lawrence Gray, a native of Richmond and a high school friend of Bobby's, has been a part of most of them! Lawrence fronted the band Smokin' Phones and then Mary on the Dash out of UNC-Chapel Hill, only to put his guitar down for the business world for 20-odd years. He's been woodshedding and even writing new tunes of late, so come out and hear Lawrence. BUT this time, we've got more. Bobby's first band ever was in high school with Rick O'Hara, then Spanish teacher and now headmaster at a school in Maryland, on the piano, and Lawrence on guitar and vocals. What did Bobby do...drums! Rick is coming down to sit in and make the opening show, and part of the Blue Dogs show, an official GH&O (Gray, Houck, and O'Hara...get it?) Reunion! The first ever....
